Vans celebrates Checkerboard Day annually, focusing on the power of creative expression as a tool for mental well-being. The initiative, established to champion the power of creative expression worldwide, involves donations to mental health charities and encourages public participation by enlisting different artists from across the country to paint vibrant community murals.

I had the amazing opportunity to bring a visual representation of what helps me through my mental health “journey”, everyday: Bright colors, nature and riding bicycles!
