KESWICK CYCLE

RE-BRANDING + DESIGN + WEBSITE + ACOUNT MANAGEMENT + COPY

I started working for Keswick Cycle back in 2009 as a sales associate and lover of all things mountain bike and started to tinker with in-house advertising while working within the range of my sales position. After leaving sales to attend school full-time, I was fortunate enough to keep working for Keswick Cycle as a freelance designer while I attended college. All of the projects shown here were completed and carried out while I was getting my BFA. I continue to design for Keswick Cycle on a regular freelance basis.

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN + EMAIL BLASTS + COPY

Every holiday season Keswick Cycle offers a 12 Days of Christmas special featuring select items at a one-day-only price. I helped decide the items to feature, developed an overall look for the campaign and created a short series of animations to be featured on all social media outlets for the company, as well as email blasts through Constant Contact and print ads through local and city-wide newspapers and various publications.

VARIOUS CAMPAIGNS

SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS + COPY

Keswick Cycle hosts a series of special events and closeout specials and I found that using animations in addition to still images went over much more successful through social media than just still images alone. In certain situations (where appropriate), the addition of music (mostly Prince and Van Halen) added to the excitement and would oftentimes create a larger buzz around the event and was shared amongst customer accounts more frequently. I also started putting eagles into ads. First they were small and hidden, then larger. Not only did the owner of Keswick Cycle (Mr. Brian Hackford) express his love for the sale eagle, but customers from far and wide began to expect and adore the eagle as an announcement of oncoming deals to be had.

WEBSITE

WEB DESIGN + BLOG CREATION + COPY

A complete re-design of the Keswick Cycle website, including various resources through blogs, how-to guides and detailed pages featuring descriptions of products and services carried throughout both locations. When I designed the new site, I wanted imagery to be a huge focus. Keswick Cycle is a cycling lifestyle shop for every kind of rider and I wanted to make that clear through beautiful, large diverse images of every type of rider and environment. Through my overall re-branding of the company and website, I carried through vibrant colors to not only create a more modern edge, but pop and make viewers more excited about their bicycle purchasing experience.
